Through community-based tourism programs ENCA visitors learn organic farming techniques and conduct meaningful service projects.

We’ve combined our 20+ years of health, safety, and sustainability auditing experience in hotels to provide the most comprehensive plastic reduction programme to date. Our downloadable ‘Reduce Single Use’ Toolkit available in English and Spanish includes a self-assessment checklist, monitoring and evaluation templates, staff training presentations, ideas for customer communications and an inspirational e-guide which looks in detail at the pros and cons of alternatives and showcases what can be done, so that hoteliers can make an informed decision that’s right for their business.

Set up 15 years ago, in 2003. They are a sustainable tourism charity/NGO, and are here to maximizese the benefits of tourism for people and the environment in destinations. They do this by working with tourism businesses, destination management organisations and NGOs to change how tourism operates. At any one time, they have about 7 or 8 projects running in destinations across the world. They also deliver training and other support to help tour operators, travel agents and other organisations adopt sustainable practices, and they conduct research to help advance understanding of the issues and opportunities that tourism brings.
