Kassie McKnight | Community Development < >

As Kassie completes her final quarter at Western Washington University for a BA in Recreation and Leisure Services, her school concentration and personal research has centered on the field of eco-tourism and sustainable certifications. An internship with Crooked Trails opened the door to working with TAP; a most appealing project dealing with both environmental and positive tourism ideals. Thus far she has been involved in learning about, and helping build the early foundations for this educational campaign. From reaching out to operators around the globe to searching for stories worthy of being shared with TAP followers, she has had to learn the ropes rather quickly. Most recently, she attempted to bridge the gap between higher education programs and the campaign by conducting a series of surveys and interviews regarding travelers and their safe drinking water habits, while on a school study abroad trip to Peru.

Founded by the Executive Directors of two US based sustainable travel organizations; Crooked Trails and Wildland Adventures.
